As a qualified mechanic and licensed vehicle tester, with over 25 years of experience in the automotive and outdoor adventure industries, he has a deep-rooted understanding of vehicle mechanics and safety regulations and product enhancements.
His journey began in the workshop and progressed in the outdoor adventure products. His unique expertise crafted over 25 years in both trade and corporate environments has led him to establish a niche business that serves his passion for ensuring vehicle safety and compliance for travellers on our roads.
Rhys saw the need for a service that not only offers precision but also the convenience of bringing state-of-the-art, certified weighing solutions directly to our customers’, but a service that also educates road users on the importance of safe towing practices and the responsible setup of vehicles.

Vehicle only weighs focus on allowable payload and even weight distribution for tow vehicles pre-purchase, accessorised 4WDs, trade/fleet vehicles, light trucks/machinery <8T GVM, and race cars.
Vehicle and trailer weighs (i.e. car and caravan/horse float/trailer) review the combined set up to ensure there is no unnecessary axle pressure, unbalanced load, suspension sag or weights that exceed the vehicle’s specified limits. This can apply stress to rear suspension and braking performance, and increase the risk of vehicle sway.
As part of your appointment, a qualified automotive technician and licensed vehicle tester will assess:
- individual wheel and tow ball weights to ensure your vehicles are within the legal limits as specified by the manufacturer;
- ride height of the vehicles to determine whether suspension upgrades or weight distribution systems are required;
- payload distribution to ensure the vehicles are appropriately balanced;
- appropriateness of the tow hitch setup (for vehicle-trailer combinations).
Each client receives a detailed report outlining their GVM, GCM, TBM, GTM, ATM and allowable payload, as well as recommendations to improve their ride height and comfortability, to ensure they are travelling safely and legally on the road and looking after the integrity of their tow and towed vehicles.
